Assignment # 1: Thinking about Media Literacy

"For centuries, literacy has referred to the ability to read and write. Today, we get most of our information through an interwoven system of media technologies. The ability to read many types of media has become an essential skill in the 21st Century. Media literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, and create media. Media literate youth and adults are better able to understand the complex messages we receive from television, radio, Internet, newspapers, magazines, books, billboards, video games, music, and all other forms of media. Media literacy skills are included in the educational standards of every state—in language arts, social studies, health, science, and other subjects. Many educators have discovered that media literacy is an effective and engaging way to apply critical thinking skills to a wide range of issues." (http://medialiteracyproject.org/learn/media-literacy) Why do you think this is?

  1. In the 21th century people are becoming more familiar with the Internet based working. More textbooks have pdf form to download, notebooks are substituted by online diaries, aka blogs.
I think, it is mire comfortable to have the internet based work and homework, because you don’t have to keep all of these sheets and papers in the holders and binders. Teacher can have an access to the blog to see who’s done with the work on time and who is not.
The skill to type fast is also very important in nowadays. Most work today is based on the computer’s programs and on the ability to work fast. Isn’t that the skill which is taught in school?)

    1. I agree with Elena. Nowadays we have to know how to type fast because it is very important skill for our life. It is truly fine to join the school and technologies together because nowadays the technology is used in every career, so we will definitely need this skills in our future lives. As we go one with our studies we will go to universities where the amount of work and different materials will be greater and the fast typing skill will be useful.

    2. I agree with you in all of the things you said :). Not only textbooks but books and articles that educators use constantly in class. Working and typing fast are important skills while the content you write is as good as your fastness skill. Great observations.

    3. I totally agree with Elena's opinion. Having all material for education in the Internet is really comfortable. Moreover, generally all students can easily use internet based materials because all of them are familiar with computers. It is significant improvement in education process.

    4. I agree with Elena because the development of media helped to be faster in work, we don't need to remember to do small things which can thwart us from doing something bigger. This is why many schoold nowaays take media as mthods to teach students.

  2. Media became a very important aspect of our life. Media helps the modern society to get the information faster than before. For example now if something happened to you, you can call the emergency services from your cell phone. Also media helps us to learn faster. For example if you want to find a book or an article from a long time ago you don’t have to go to the library and search for it there, you can just google and find this book or article. So it saves a lot of time, which means people, have more time to study and they are able to find more materials to study in this time.

    1. That is also a good point of media! Now I mostly read downloaded books on the iPad, even though I love books themselves. I'm good with both electronically and paper versions. However, I know some people who can't read books from the electronic devise. they need to "feel the book": to touch the papers, to smell it, to annotate right in the book. So, in some ways it is very handy to have a development of media in that area. However, in some ways it can be dreadful.

      Delete
    2. I agree with your last point because now people use less real books and write less. They read electronic books and type their essays on the computer. But what will happen in the future? Will people forget how to write? Or may be people forget the feeling of reading real books? And what if something goes wrong and the internet and computers will not work? So I agree that media can be also dreadful.

    3. I totally disagree with Anton's opinion. It is true that media made ways of getting information easier. However, what about reliability of information? How can people be sure that what did they find in the Internet was true? It is really significant issue. In the worth case people can get totally misleading information.

    4. For Sasha:
"How can people be sure that what did they find in the Internet was true?"
Your knowledge question is good and relevant, and I have the best answer on this question: use critical thinking.
That is how media makes us to apply our critical thinking skills - we have to evaluate and analyze everything that we read.

  3. In my opinion nowadays gaining knowledge is much easier then before because we can find all information in internet. There are millions websites where you can find answers for any question you might have. You don't have to look through tons of literature and ask a lot of people to find information you need, you just have type it in Google or some other search engine. From the one hand, internet is great tool for education with all its blogs encyclopedias and documentaries. From the other hand, most of the people waste time in internet for social networks.

    1. I’m with you that gaining information is a lot easer now; therefore, the exposure to new things and knowledge is a lot higher. 4. The study of Media Literacy nowadays is important for our generation since we were born on times where technology was starting to get bigger and to be more present on our daily lives. It's hard to understand why the Media has such an impact on all of us, and that's why it becomes essencial for everyone to study it and learn how it works, and then you will start to notice how important it is and how many people it can connect. It's something you should learn because there are so many types of Media we can see/listen/read that each one needs to be interpreted in a different way.

  5. As presented in the excerpt, Media literacy has become an essential skill for modern people, and it obviously has positive impact on both education and lives. For many youth, Media literacy provides them access to diverse points of view online, and thus encounters or extends their own perspectives; for lives, too, people are more likely to engage in prevailing events or issues in the world: you have to know what is going on to respond to it. For instance, ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which definitely raise attention from the help of media sources; thus people get to know the ALS, and popularly engage in it. We not only gain knowledge from the process, but also contribute to the society.

    1. I fully agree with the example, that the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge really shows that nowadays, the media literacy can put on a huge momentum on some events and attract people much faster. But everything is two side, right? I mean what if someone wants to put something that spread the negative or dreadful information. Even it could be deleted by the network managers, it still will spread out in a really faster rate. Especially those with religious purposes or videos of IsIs kills American reporter.

    2. I totally agree with Iris that media is not just to gain personal knowledge but it can also contribute the society in a fast and accurate way; the speed is so fast that the whole world could know about something in about a day or two depending in its relevance. The example of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was a great because its purpose was accomplished; it made me look up for what was ALS and could tell people around me what it is. This was a success to make the world be aware of ALS and could get a lot of money for patients with ALS and its research.

    3. I agree with you a hundred percent, media is making us more aware of the events that surround us. And the ALS Ice Bucket Challange is a perfect example of how media allow us to know problems that are in the world and actually do something about them even if is just in a small amount of help.

    4. I think that you mentioned the best example to show and demonstrate what media can actually do. Media has actually made easier to share knowledge and, as you said, it also contributes to the society.

    5. Yes, media has an impact on our lives and education but I wouldn't say that it is a good one or a bad one. I think that it depends more on the fact if people will analyze really everything that they read, see or hear. I think that one of the problem he have with the new generation is that people trust to much what the media say without thinking that what they are saying could be wrong

  6. Media became an important tool to have access to information for many people. Nowadays, it is much easier to get information in short time. Something can happen in one part of the world and people can learn about this in few minutes. However, there are some difficulties. Not all people can understand specific language, such business, economics or scientific language. That is why it is essential for media to make information clear to all people, otherwise they will not get massage. Furtemore, it is also significant for people to develop their skills of getting information to not misunderstood what author means. If going further some information form the media can be not true at all. That is essential to just believe what is said on TV but also imply critical thinking.

But about the message, I think that it is not the media that should make it more easier to understand, people should make the effort to be able to understand. I think this is how people or going to be more media literal.

  7. Roberto Mengibar Castro; I think that in the 21th century the people has became more familiar with the media literacy because is more simple to use and to search for it. also in man times yo don't have to pay for it for example, you can read a newspaper in the internet and you don't have to pay for it although when you buy a newspaper in the shop you have to pay for it. so for me media-literacy has become more simple to search for it and cheaper.

  8. Educators have started to realize how media has become so powerful that people's everyday lives now indulge in its vast empire. Media is everywhere as mentioned above; television, radio, the Internet. By being literate in the fields of media we are able to grasp unfamiliar or previously difficult topics with ease. This too, in the case of critical thinking. Media has enabled people to assess what is credible information and what is not. In being able to do so people can apply that skill to all walks of life including language arts, social studies and science. Media essentially appeals to all logos, pathos and ethos and not only does it does so but it helps you question why those things appeal to us. We appreciate how powerful media and the responsibility that comes with it, I believe it is that responsibility that urges us to be critical thinkers.

  9. People use media in our everyday’s lives— facebook, twitter, instagram, blog etc. Media is influencing how we live. We read news from newspaper, TV and the Internet, but there’s no way to know that the information is true. People who create media could be exaggerating facts, so consumers like us should be able to analyse and evaluate the media. Learning media literacy allows us to apply critical thinking skills as we always have to be conscious of what we’re consuming. Moreover, media is mostly where we get information nowadays, so we need to know the media literacy in order to understand the world.

    3. It is so true that social networking as a type of media influence people overwhelmingly nowadays. We live with media as well as were formed by the media. People extremely rely on the media as a part of the life, and people have to question themselves whether the messages is reliable or just a joke. People have to have the ability to determine the credibility of the information.

    4. So true! I think, nowadays we are becoming critics more and more: we have to always analyze data in order not the be fouled. On one hand it is very skillful - to recognize the truth and lie. On the other hand, we cannot believe anything from the media, because we initially try to categorize information "what is true" and "what is not true".

  10. Nowadays, people rely on all forms of media, such as Facebook, TV news, radios, to receive any kind of information. They base their actions and opinions on the information they receive. With media literacy skills, people are able to get information and other people’s opinion more easily than ever. But with all the information from various resources, people, especially the youth, are required to have the ability of questioning the credibility of sources and thinking about the differences of their own opinions with those of others. This is when people start to apply their critical thinking skills to what they receive.

    1. I agree with this. Mostly for teens, they don't have enough knowledge of credibility on the world. It is very easy for them to get misunderstand on the informations they get from the internet. 3. 12. I do consider the two different sides for this topic. First of all, none of us can really decline that the media literacy skills really bring people today a lot more convenient to express feelings and acquire knowledge. The advanced protection on the internet also provides us a safer environment to express true feelings without being found out the identification. But on the opposite side, the media literacy also overthrows a huge field of traditional ways of media transferring. For example, people nowadays more like to write on blogs, wechats and twitters that replaced the old ways as letters or postcards. The more convenient and faster speed really bring a little meaningless of all the media transfering than before.

There have been many researches about the effect media have on people, even though it could be untre people tend to belive it. Media is just like gossip, just becaue you hear it dosent nessesarly mean that every bit of it is true. As people's dependence on technologies such as cell phone, computer, and the internet becomes heavier, the ability of a person to access into those tool becomes more essential. For such reason, the capability of a person to evaluate sources, websites, and in general: information on the social media, is required by the society. Hence, educators, teachers, and parents are deeply concern about their successors's ability to winnow intelligence on the public media due to the fact that the public communication web does not only contain information that helps a person in a positive way but also contains falsely or even harmful intelligence. It is of great importance that people should learn to be literate in media in order to discern between unreliable things and reliable things and evaluate its extent of right and wrongness. Learning so helps people to apply their thinking skills to look at problems in the right way. Thus, people can make the right decisions based on that. However, what it offers to us is the connectivity that really brings us together. Therefore, i think everything needs to be considered from both sides.

Some examples consist of Facebook, instagram, twitter, TV etc. One drawback of media is that the information can be biased and unreliable. How can we know that? Learning to use media literacy is one of the answers to the previous question. Really, general public have to be literate in media so that they can learn to analyse and select the appropriate information that benefit them. By having media literacy, people can apply their critical thinking skills such as questioning, examining the author's opinion and his/her credibility on a wide range of issues that are posted on the internet. Just like the youth has grown up with the access to Internet and all the information there, they have also grown up with thinking critically with what they're reading because of the big amount of information. I think the internet is going to develop, and it's going to be a big part of our lives for a long time. There is no doubt that "media messages are constructed"(in my opinion), they are all purposeful, for instance, advertisements for products, musics (I mean those protest musics) , movies which try to entice audience. So, there has to be just a way in order to recognize, evaluate and analyze these wrong and rights. For example, when I was a child, I was kind of gullible and used to believe anything but I do not believe the cartoon of Tom and Jerry and its silly things. Nevertheless, with the existence of media literacy, applying critical thinking skill does not always work.

I think we learn better when we apply new media to our study, because new type media interact with us more than old school media like book, newspaper, etc. For instance, if you was researching a specific subject it is more effective to research by internet than by book because we have to evaluate the source, be more critical when choosing and reading sources. If you compare researching by internet to research by book, you only need to skim through and look for ideas to support your thesis that is already in the book. We don't interact with the text that much while on the internet we need to compare sources to know which is valid. However, we should not be too depended on the new media because all media are constructed and it is the tool that we create to help us better our life not shape us to who we are.

Therefore, the leaders of our future generation, the teachers, have more than valid reasons to educate the learners on how to interpret or contribute their opinion to a wide range of people who will be able to reach this information. The way everyone expresses their thoughts on every sort of subject, varies from each and every individual, and so the educators of this generation and all the next to come will certainly favor all students in teaching and adapting their minds to criticize not just the opinion the writer has, but also the techniques used to express and validate this opinion to a large number of people.

It's important to learn how to interpret and contribute their opinions, as its the only way that they can try to be less affected by the drawbacks of media. Critics are always necessary, and it doesn't mean that they aren't constructive, critics can have a positive or negative side, and its up to the critical thinking skill to choose which path the individual should take in situations.

Twenty-first century is an era of media: Comparing to the past, we have more variety of tools to receive information from others: such as books, newspaper, television, and most importantly, internet. So it is essentially important for the younger generation in modern time to learn media literacy: We could receive countless messages everyday, which makes it more important for us to apply critical thinking to the imformation in order to evaluate their credibility and liability. Media are powerful, and as technology proceeds, they have greater influence on our society. If it is used in the right way, it will benefit our society, like ALS Bucket Challenge made people have the awareness of the decease and tried to understand it. However, if it is used in the wrong way, it can harm our society. By applying critical thinking and consider different point of views from other parties, we will be able to receive the information that is as neutral as possible without being confused and lost in the huge amount of messages and information.

For instance, if the reader search a topic of interested online, this reader may communicate with other readers with similar interests and share more ideas, which helps to development a wide range of skills. To think it again these skills are important for our study. Without those skills we can't fully reach our capacity to understand or follow the class. If we master media literacy we can be a critical thinker in answering any answer from any subjects, we can access and analyze the question to break it down to parts so that we can easily understand it. Many educators also believe that media literacy helps students engaging and interactive to the question, and make students become more critical about the question they asked. Media literacy also help students in understanding a complex message that they encounter, for example in TOK class, we discuss about "to what extent does way of knowledge check on our incentive judgments?". That is now a hard question to understand and by mastering media literacy could help student to cope with such question or message. Therefore in our learning process, we all should also master the skill of media literacy in order to ease your way into critical thinking.

In media you can find all sort of information and also write any kind of thought so educators can use media and media literacy to help their students to understand different topics. As in educational matter, in any subject we need to read and in school if we are doing homework we will normally use the Internet (media) and look for information needed. We depend on internet so much.

Whenever we read a text in media we get an overview of the topic of the text so the more you read the more practice you have in critical reading; depending on the type of text we read the skill will improve. With all the different media we get used to read and so our critical reading always gets a little better but also it depends on the kind of language that people write on.

Media literacy has become more essential over time, with the technology advance. Literacy before was the ability of reading and writing texts such as books or a letter, but today literacy has evolved more into media literacy where the types of it have increased. Some examples of media literacy are television, internet, magazines, books, newspapers, radio, music, and so much more. It is crucial now to be able to interpret, analyze and evaluate the media for several purposes, such as advertisements and education. Media is definitely engaging for several purposes and it is effective too mainly because there are media everywhere. Many people read the newspaper in the mornings, most women read magazines, listen to the radio or music when going to work/school, watch television in free time, read books as hobby, and most importantly all these are available for whenever we need it: in the cellphone. It is easily accessible and engaging because most people carry smart phones everywhere. When knowing how to use media for any purpose, moderately, then achieving goals (purposes) will be easier. One example can be the news through radio, television and the internet; they often exaggerate too much but people are influenced by it and it is up to each person whether they want to believe it or not. For the recent three days, I've been reading several articles about the "Odile" hurricane that was approaching the coasts of South Baja California in Mexico. I was reading this because my family went to that beach for vacations and they had to face it. I was reading articles, going into Twitter for recent updates and more because the communication was cut and couldn't contact my family. These medium helped me to be informed about how bad it was after the hurricane but then my family told me that everything was so exaggerated because the airport that was supposedly "really damaged that had to close it" and it was perfectly fine. Most people in the hotel listened to the people in the hotel and stayed there without food, water or electricity and the tourists who didn't believe and got out could get back home. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't believe and/or trust in media but if we think critically, then we can decide whether to be totally influenced or not.

    1. Strong appeal to emotion is surely something that the media like to use whenever there is anything can be categorized as disasters (such as the hurricane you mention!) . Nowadays, things happens so quickly and anyone can have their 15 minutes of fame and that is why the media literacy has to keep up with the "competition"... If something happens and you are signed in any type of digital media, you are going to share that much more faster than some newspaper or magazine. 42. Media literacy is basically the ability to analyze, evaluate different media modes, genres and formats. After reading Ms. Weeks paragraph, and also after searching around the web, I got a better understanding of what Media literacy really is. I especially found two topics very captivating. Firstly Media Education – who is all about learning about the media. Its main purpose is to develop teenagers to get a better understanding of what media is and it’s values. Theoretically speaking, there is a change in the development of teenagers view on media, due to the fact that we are entering a face where technology plays a large role in our daily life. Teenagers are actually watching more TV now than they do school, it also effect there sleeping. However technology also helps students to develop there skills and to think outside the box. There were also one topic I found very interesting – Language. As I have observed, language may be the building blocks for media. Media has several ways of communication, the usage of verbal and written language for instance. Nonetheless it also includes music, images and even particular camera angels that may effect the consumer’s emotions. For instance: In movies when there is a zoom in on someone face, you can clearly see there’s feelings/emotions/expressions clearly. This will also effect your emotions.

  43. "Many educators have discovered that media literacy is an effective and engaging way to apply critical thinking skills to a wide range of issues."

Technology has certainly made communication easier and faster. It has also made easy to access to a lot of resources. For example, books are also published in the ebook format and most of the newspapers have their own website and also offer a digital version of the journal.

If we compare to the traditional paper books, this new type of literacy spread by media is more dynamic and engaging: readers and audience can easily interact with the author.

Blogs and websites are a good example. Writers publish their articles on their blog and readers can share their comment immediately under the text. Other readers can also access to the comments, so it helps creating argumentative discussions between the audience.

To sum up, I think that media literacy is the best way to share our critics and appreciations to other people's texts, compositions, works, etc.

  45. From my point of view, media literacy has never stops improving and it will never stop giving us human being the information that we need. People tend to trust the media because it provides the quickest way to access to any type of information we need.
Even though it is a very good thing indeed but I think everybody is depending too much on the media, especially students. Just with one click of a button, they can access to any type of information they want. So even though I like that fact that the media can brings a lot of benefits to many people, like unlimited amount of information and very time consuming, but I think that it can bring harms to us as well.
Students aren't going to libraries to get resources anymore but instead they all logged inside the internet to get those resources. Imagine if there are 10 students access to the same website to get resource, wouldn't their work will all be the same? Plagiarism tend to happens a lot recently and that's all because students thought that nobody will going to find out where they can get those information from. Also students sound be aware of the right and wrong information because there are some websites that cannot be trusted.
In conclusion, I think it's great for students nowadays to use media literacy to do their work, but just keep in mind to stay away from doing the wrong thing.

So to cope up with this new trend, educators have to expand their way of teachings and must introduce the ways to the 'new young youth' about this social advancement. In today's time, newspaper is not the only place from where we can get the latest news, there are so many places like Facebook, twitter, radio, magazines, where one can find the same news which is conducted in different style. It depends on the preference of person to person, in what way they wan't to get news. Thats why educators must include ways to interact with news, in their teachings.

I'm assuming that eclectic features of information given by media fostered the media education, media literacy; such diversity of media lets people to critically think about social issues. Also, social issues that are trivial even becomes ubiquitous in the blink of an eye. Although some would disparage such phenomena for its demagoguery use, it already became a irrevocable social convention. Furthermore, although such assertion that media might cause such ambivalent consequences holds ring of truth, it is wholly dependent on a observer. This is the part, in which critical thinking is needed. Every sources of media can be interpreted differently and is open to discussion;therefore, it's readers who examine whether the information given is plausible or erroneous.
In sum, because media can provide people an abundant source and also let them examine and analyse the information, media literacy serves as a impeccable source in which people can critically think in diverse ways

  48. Media literacy is a skill set that has become increasingly required for anyone with a connection to internet. While the concept can be applied to more general parts of the media, internet is where it excels. At the internet, and especially internet media, people can post nearly whatever they want about who- or whatever they want. This is where people's ego and desire for attention can feed itself. With media literacy, one gets the ability to think critically and preserve themself aganist persuasion and bias.

There is a saying that states: "You find what you look for" - which is highly relevant for people who have not yet develloped their media literacy. People use the internet to search for both questions and answers for everthing in their daily lives. If the answer they are looking for is satisfying both emotionally and rationally, people tend to accept the information regardless of fallacies or lack of appropriate sources. This type of information is characterized by a positive answer written in a very logically appealing way. An example on the internet is spirituality. If you find your way through Google to websites about spirituality, you will find websites telling you that you can "acheive this" and "achieve that", written in a way that is accepted by our logic and past experiences. What one may forget is to identify the reliability of the author - is he some hippie living in his mother's basement or is he a monk who has acheieved total power of the mind?

Media literacy is all about being able to think beyond your logic and emotion, in order to recongnize persuasion and manipulation aimed at our mental inadequancies.

We are having free access to a huge variety of information on the internet, and there is no needs to stressfully skimming through every line in a ten pounds, hard-back book which barely promises anything exclusive. However, the amount of information available today is, one the other hand, creating chaotics and confusion since there is they are usually lack of credibility. Therefore, the ability to access, analyze, evaluate,….is highly important and needed to be providle as universal as possible. In return students will gradually achieve a prepared set of skills: the ability to annotate, evaluate the information available, a wide range understanding of different issues … All in all, I firmly believe that the giant collection of knowledge on the internet is a wonderful evolution of the human being, however in order to exploit such advantage requires basic skills of critical thinking and judgement.

  52. In the past, when internet still haven't been invented, people use texts in paper to communicate with people in a long distance, for example book, letters and news paper etc. Therefore people should be able to read and understand, otherwise we won‘t be able to connect with each other knowledgeably. However, as the improvement of technology, nowadays we have internet, television, cell phones etc. we started to have many different kind of communication media, and as this become more popular, people start became lazier, because the message that we receive are are complexed now, the words that we use become not formal any more, different slang words or internet terms were formed. The elder people might be confused with all these new internet concept, be we, as a new generation, being able to understand the media world has already become a essential thing.

On the other hand, even though having complex message might seems to be a lazy thing, be if we try to see it differently, it actually help us get and understand some information much quicker. Unlike any old school media method, which might take us a long time read and so to understand it. Also, using nowadays media as a communication method is also seems to be a more interesting to do. comparing with books in the past. That's why educator would think that it's more effective and engaging for people to think, it's faster and more interesting.

In 21st century the amount of information provided by mass media became enormous, and it's often shows very subjective points of view or just not supported by any evidence. For modern man it is very important to identify information that is important and reliable from what is called "information trash". Media literacy teaches us how to distinguish truth from false and have a real picture of situation (if we talk about world news for example). It's a very useful skill if it's developed enough, and it can also be used in real life. Imagine, if some emergency action occurred, but you weren't a witness and all you have is other people's words which can be totally different, such ability can really make your life easier.
I have mentioned just a small aspect of media literacy and the areas where you can apply it, which seemed the most important for me.

  55. From the ancient, the Chinese invented paper to write on it. Then human revolution began, technology rapidly grows as well. People then started to put knowledge into computer, then they start to save all the data into the Internet. Since the born of Internet, people can sit in their rooms and then access to most everything that on the internet. We used to carry lots of books to class, but now, people just need to carry an Ipad that contains all of your books, convenient and sufficient . Today article use many metaphor and allusion in the way their written in order to convey message, readers have to be critical thinkers in order to understand what the author try to say. I remember that there was a article about a tribe named "nacirema". That was a really harsh criticism about this tribe. But later, I realized that the author wants to criticize about American. If you are not a critical thinker, you can't get what is under the author argument or allusion he or she want to accentuate.

  56. It is true that the world has developed in different ways. It is possible to talk about how the cars became faster, how internet became more efficient and how connection became easier. These developments brought also the improvements of media which are basically the increase in range and impact in society. Media are very powerful today that can change someone's opinion easily. Therefore, it is important to anyone to be able to understand media and critically analyze them. Nowadays, various media want to influence people's decisions and it is important to take care. Also, media nowadays work really fast, so it becomes hard to follow all of them. However, media literacy is extremely important for people nowadays since you are able to talk to people about different aspects of the world. Therefore, people should be connected to media as far as possible and analyze them critically.

  57. We currently live in a time age of technology unlike 3 centuries ago when they were in the age of stones. We live in 21st century where people which whom range in all different ages relie on internet. Our life as students its self is aided through the help of technology. We download textbooks, PDFs and notes on internet instead of making them by hand. Instantly at this very moment were doing our homework online instead of getting the assignment by paper and doing it by paper. This is a big advantage, in current time, we are able to do much better for we can gain knoweledge from all the previous years from everywhere in the world unlike before when we would just gain the knoweledge from the teacher. Also typing is an amazing time manager because we can type more words more quicker, be organized and accurate unlike if we didnt by hand. This is effective in current time.
